How FamilyJules Made Replay 2019

For those of you who haven’t already watched FamilyJules Replay 2019, stop what you are doing and watch it. Seriously. It’s an epic tribute to 40+ years of video game music, and I had the unique pleasure of watching Jules perform this medley live at MAGFest 2020.

For those of you already familiar with that incredible video, this behind-the-scenes documentary shows the insane amount of effort, passion, and perseverance required to make a 19-minute minute medley in less than a month. Editors DJ Steamy Pete and Jules Conroy craft a unique perspective by clearly showing the timeline and workflow for this project, integrating vlogs that were created during the production. Most of us will never create a 19-minute medley, but I think that all of us could learn a thing or two from FamilyJules. Here’s to the next Replay!
