Lo-Fi Lacey Johnson

You probably know Lacey Johnson from her high-energy pop-punk covers, but this week she’s dipped her toes into the lo-fi world, producing this enchanting cover of “Besaid” from Final Fantasy X. While this isn’t the first lo-fi cover she’s made, it’s significant for a few reasons. First of all, her production and arrangement skills have grown leaps and bounds from her earlier lo-fi covers. Secondly, and most notably, the use of outdoor footage really complements the music, adding to the overall experience. This video proves that Lacey is willing to evolve, expanding both her sound and image, and I hope that VGM artists and fans take note.
