Don't Call it a Comeback

Either my eyes and ears deceive me or SixteenInMono has made a glorious return to the world of VGM with this cover of “Kraid’s Lair” from Metroid. For those keeping track, it’s been 447 days since Brandon’s last VGM cover, but he has been more productive when it comes to making originals, releasing this incredible track on April 1st of this year. The production is top-notch, which is no surprise considering that Brandon produces for some well-known musicians, and the arrangement favors a huge dynamic range, alternating between acoustic ambience and djent grooves. After watching this cover, only one question remains in my mind: is SixteenInMono here to stay or was this just a trip down memory land?
