Thennecan Releases 'Vagrant's Journey'
Heavy metal and VGM are a match made in heaven, so it’s always a delight when talented artists offer their own heavy metal renditions of beloved video game soundtracks. Thennecan aka Felipe Salinas is one such artist, having released C-Busters (a heavy metal tribute to Mega Man) and Tribute to the Monsters (a heavy metal tribute to the Monster Hunter series). With Vagrant’s Journey, Thennecan has eschewed the themed album approach, instead remixing and remastering tracks from classic games such F-Zero, Castlevania, and Zelda. The album features several collaborators, and with a total of 14 tracks, it’s long enough to leave you satisfied without overstaying its welcome.
