With COVID-19 still raging around the world, most of us have been trapped at home, wondering when we can return to our favorite conventions. Fortunately, some of our favorite conventions have decided to come to us in the form of virtual events! Here are just a few of the virtual VGM events for 2021.

VGMTogether — March 12th - 14th, 2021

A 3-day online video game music event made by VGM fans, for VGM fans. The event will feature musical performances, panels, virtual meetups, and other fun activities for video game music fans to enjoy with one another.

March Caprice — March 27th - 28th, 2021

March Caprice is a virtual gathering of fans of the Kingdom Hearts series that will showcase the talents, passions, and projects of the community! This virtual gathering will provide an opportunity for the KH community to come together to celebrate each other, as well as celebrate the anniversary of the beloved Kingdom Hearts series

VGM Con — April 22nd - 25th, 2021

This annual celebration combines music performance with tournaments, indie games, panels, workshops, energy drinks, and a whole lot of fun. VGM CON is organized by Gamer’s Rhapsody: a 501C3 non profit organization. For the first time ever, VGM CON will go fully online for four days of video game music, speed running, panels, workshops, special guests and more.

Bonus Stage — Monthly

Bonus Stage is an organization based in Vancouver, BC promoting and creating opportunities for video-game-inspired performance, art and culture. They host monthly virtual concerts on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Check out our podcast with Josh for more information!

Ongaku Overdrive — Monthly

Ongaku Overdrive, based out of Orlando, Florida, was founded by Kent Ward in 2013 to bring video game bands, nerdcore hip hop, chiptune, and geek rock, otherwise known as “nerd music,” to fans of video games, anime, and other nerdy pop culture.
