This Land of Misery: A Dark Tribute to Pokémon
GameGrooves is proud to present the first album from the GameGrooves Album Challenge, "This Land of Misery: A Dark Tribute to Pokemon" by Chernabogue.
Chernabogue had this to say about the album:
One of the most important aspects of VGM album-making, in my opinion, is having a strong theme. I enjoy albums with something close to a narration, as if you were following a story, or an original approach to the source material. I always aim to do something original when planning my EPs/albums and This Land of Misery does exactly that. The world of Pokémon is often shown as something happy and bright, so I thought doing the exact opposite—taking its darker elements and making them even more disturbing—would be cool. I hope people enjoy this dark ride, especially on Halloween!
