In a Twitlonger post today, insaneintherainmusic announced his plans to create a Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum cover album “that presents every song in its fullest manner”.

I always thought that a medley was a collection of songs, but now I realize that a medley can transform tracks into something greater than the sum of their parts. In the hands of an expert, a medley is a narrative that guides a listener through a satisfying emotional journey.

The latest collaboration from VGM jazz maestro insaneintherainmusic (Carlos Eiene) and VGM guitar virtuoso Ro Panuganti dropped this weekend. The nine-minute Pokemon Snap medley featured a whopping thirteen tracks and a number of real-life locales.
