I had the great pleasure of hosting a panel on how to create a VGM cover album for this year’s vgmtogether.

For years, The Game Brass has graced the world of video game music with high-quality cover albums, usually based around a theme or a game series. This time, The Game Brass takes us where no gamer has gone before–space!

Our mission is simple–celebrate the diversity, passion, and creativity of the VGM community. We do this through articles, interviews, and even tribute albums, and this year, we decided to create a new way to celebrate the accomplishments of the VGM community–the Groovies.

Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to announce the GameGrooves Costume Contest winner! We had 6 entries total, and each one presented both a stunning arrangement and a creative costume design.

Brass quintet, The Game Brass, caught the VGM world by storm with their winter-themed album Snowtopia which released at the end of 2018. For their follow-up album, they decided to expand their roster and pay tribute to the video game macabre with Brasslevania.

Just in time for Halloween, The Game Brass have just released a 22-track tribute to “The Video Game Macabre”.
